Service Overview

Audit & Assurance in Pakistan

Independent financial audit and assurance in Pakistan for companies, NPOs, and boards that need a clear, professional opinion.

Risk-based financial audits

MAF Hasnain delivers statutory and financial audit engagements that examine accounts, test higher-risk areas, and end with an independent report. Our audit and assurance approach in Pakistan is built around risk, documentation, and findings management can actually use.

Assurance for companies & NPOs

Whether you need a company audit, association accounts review, or NPO audit for donor reporting, we plan fieldwork around your records and reporting deadlines. Clean working papers and plain-language management points sit beside the formal opinion.

Value beyond the opinion

A strong audit improves control awareness, not just the signed report. We highlight process gaps, reconciliation issues, and compliance risks so the next year starts stronger — with clearer books and fewer surprises.

What to prepare before fieldwork

An audit moves faster when the trial balance, bank reconciliations, fixed-asset register, and revenue support are ready before the team arrives. We send a preparation list at kickoff. Missing reconciliations are the usual reason an opinion is delayed, so the first week is spent on completeness, not on sampling.

Statutory audit and internal audit are different jobs

A statutory financial audit ends with an independent opinion on the financial statements for shareholders, lenders, or regulators. Internal audit tests controls and processes during the year and reports to management. If you need both, they stay separate engagements so the opinion remains independent. Internal control reviews are described on our internal audit page.

Companies, associations, and donor-funded organisations

The same audit method covers private companies, associations of persons, and non-profits. Donor reporting adds a question the company audit does not always ask: were restricted funds used for the purpose the grant described? That work is scoped up front and reported in language a board can act on.

Questions about Audit & Assurance

A financial audit gives an independent opinion on the annual financial statements. An internal audit reviews controls and processes for management during the year. They answer different questions and are scoped separately.

Timing depends on the size of the records and how complete the books are. A closed trial balance and finished reconciliations shorten fieldwork. We agree a timetable at kickoff.

Start with the trial balance, bank reconciliations, ledgers for revenue and expenses, the fixed-asset register, and minutes or grant agreements that explain restricted balances. We add to that list once we have seen the draft accounts.
